Beach hut – all in one, care free package

We are the beach hut company for all your beach hut needs in Devon, we offer a full service; we put them up, maintain them, take them down, transport and store them for you. Enjoy a whole summer season of care free beach hut fun on East Devon beaches. Beach huts need to be removed for the winter, with our all in one package we take care of everything, so all you have to do is enjoy the sunshine and sandwiches. The season runs from April to October, start and end dates are subject to weather conditions.

Spring assembly

Whether you own an existing beach hut or one built by us we specialise in putting them up. Springfield huts will install your hut on your allotted pitch, we have all the permits and necessary information in order to do this smoothly and efficiently. The start of the new season runs from April to October, subject to weather and other factors.

Maintenance and repairs

Whether you own an existing beach hut or one built by us we specialise in repairs and maintenance, such as painting, re-felting or re-flooring. Large repairs can be conducted in our workshop but it may be possible to conduct minor repairs in situ.

Autumn dismantling 

Many councils require beach huts to be dismantled during the winter in order to prevent them becoming damaged by storms. We have a team to take care of this for you in autumn.

Transporting & storage 

We offer a transportation and storage to our dry sheltered storage barn where your hut will be placed on wooden bearers – this increases air circulation & prolongs the lifespan of your hut. If you wish to store your hut on personal property, we can advise how much room you will need to provide for your dismantled hut, its a little more that you might think.

Building beach huts

We pride ourselves on crafting each beach hut by hand to a very high standard, using responsibly sourced timber and the best weather resistant materials. We have been making beach huts for 15 years, if you have a dream beach hut design, we can make it for you.  All our huts are of made with care, we choose materials and finishes which last, they are secured together with galvanised bolts and hinges to prevent rust. The roof is coated with heavy duty felt, in order to provide an efficient waterproofing system.

Painting your beach hut

Your product can be hand painted in accordance with your personal requirements to a very high standard, we can advise you which colours last the longest.

Personalising your hut in our carpenters workshop

If you require those finishing touches to turn your hut into a home away from home, such as a bench seat, a secret storage cupboard, a hook for your wet suit, a shelf to store your bucket and spade or hooks to dry out wet towels; then just ask the team – we can install those for you.
